Receiving your vaccination at home

The Department of Health has informed us of in-home vaccination options for those who would prefer to receive their vaccine against COVID-19 in their personal space. The information below, has been provided by directly by the Department of Health.
“An at-home appointment means a healthcare professional (such as a doctor or nurse) visits your home to give you a COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccination at home is available to anyone with barriers to receiving the vaccine, this may look like any type of disability or mental health challenges (including anxiety, depression etc), language barriers as well as fear and other complexities associated with being vaccinated.
To book an at-home appointment, call the COVID-19 hotline on 1800 675 398.
A Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) can help with their booking if needed. You can contact a DLO by: completing the Request for Disability Liaison Officer support online form OR emailing DLOcoordinator@dhhs.vic.gov.au.
The process for getting your vaccine at home will take about 45 minutes.
You need to complete a consent form before you receive your vaccine. You can complete the consent form before your appointment. At your appointment, give the form to the healthcare professional providing your vaccine. The healthcare professional can also help you complete the form.
Once you have consented, you will be given your COVID-19 vaccine.
The team do have capacity to facilitate more of these in home vaccinations– including regional.
