Health In Difference 2013
Health in Difference is Australia’s premier conference on the health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer and other sexuality, sex and gender diverse (LGBTI) people.
The 8th National LGBTI Health Conference, held in Melbourne 18-20 April 2013, brought together community organisations, health practitioners, researchers, academics, policy makers, advocates, community members and others who are interested in improving the mental, physical and emotional health and wellbeing of LGBTI people.
The overarching theme for this conference was Our Bodies. Our Minds. and the conference focused on practical health issues, including:
- Ageing and Aged Care
- Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
- Doing LGBTI Health Differently
- Intersex, Trans and Gender Diversity
- Cultural Determinants of Health and Wellbeing
JOY 94.9 is pleased to partner with the National LGBTI Health Alliance to bring you this audio record of the conference.
As JOY 94.9 is a volunteer organization, we were unfortunately not able to collect audio from every session, but we trust the audio linked via the above categories gives you a taste of the largest and most comprehensive selection of LGBTI health research, initiatives and presentations in Australia to date.
