JOY IS WEARING IT PURPLE
Celebrate Wear It Purple Day today!
Friday 26 August is Wear It Purple Day 2016, a day when we wear purple to demonstrate our solidarity with rainbow young people.
Young LGBTIQ+ people are statistically more likely to face bullying and harassment and to struggle with their mental health than their peers. The purpose of Wear It Purple Day is to let young people everywhere know that they have the right to be proud of who they are, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.
#WearItPurple on August 26 if you agree!
Check out Unicorn Youth, our program giving young queer people a voice, on Wednesdays at 7PM AEST.
Visit our Schools OUT Loud website to hear more youth stories.
