- Program Director
The Program Director role is a key management and leadership position. This role oversees all programming on the JOY 94.9 grid. The Program Directors is responsible for all aspects of broadcasting and programming – in consultation with the JOY Programming Advisory Committee (JOYPAC) – to ensure a high standard of programming and development of the JOY 94.9 sound. This involves managing and supporting a team of approximately 80 volunteer broadcasters, strategic development, liaising with a broad range of stakeholder organisations, training & development, studio management, resource allocation, coordination of special programming projects, outside broadcasts and events, policy & protocols, communication, mentoring, and identifying new media trends for integration into the station.
