All Current JOY Volunteer Opportunities – October 2021

JOY is growing, and we want you to be a part of our team! There are some wonderful dynamic volunteer roles currently available at JOY in a wide range of departments. Check them out below:

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

The JOY Marketing and Comms team is expanding and we are looking for a wide range of volunteers to fill our new roles. Each role is approximately 5-10+ Hours per week, and can be completed in office at the Victorian Pride Centre or remotely.

The JOY Marketing and Communications Assistant will continue to grow the visibility and awareness of the work JOY does to build a more inclusive society, both here in Australia and across the globe. This role will maintain and increase engagement with our wonderful community base across JOY’s social media channels, on air on JOY 94.9, through external print and online media and any other marketing platforms. JOY Public Relations Coordinator – This role will maintain and increase engagement with our community base through our owned channels, but more importantly through the channels of the wider media landscape. This position will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator to effectively partner and promote JOY with brands and organisations that align with our Joyous, Inclusive and Courageous values. The JOY Graphic Designer will support the MarComms team through creative use of digital illustrations, print and publishing design, visual identity design, typography and other adhoc graphic design work. This position will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator to create and deliver visual content that aligns with the JOY brand and creates consistency across JOY’s digital and print works. JOY 94.9 Radio – Rainbow Music Specialist (Queer) PD

JOY Sport – We’re looking to grow sports broadcasting at JOY because sport is always better with a splash of rainbow! We need some fresh legs (excuse the pun). If you’re a sports lover and want to contribute to a diverse sound then we’d love to hear from you. JOY Breakfast and JOY Drive

Breakfast Volunteer Assistant Producer – 4 hours per week, usually two hours before a show and two hours during the show live in studio, although remote applicants are encouraged to apply. Role can include organising interviews, writing questions, compiling run sheets, social media posts, clipping interview audio. Training provided for all tasks.
