JOY 94.9 Unveils Groundbreaking 2025 Program Grid

JOY 94.9, is launching its most ambitious program season yet, kicking off on Monday, February 3, 2025, and running until Sunday, July 6, 2025.

This exciting new lineup showcases the station’s commitment to diversity and representation within the LGBTQIA+ community.

New Shows

The 2025 Season 1 introduces several fresh voices to the airwaves:

Big Bi+ Questions: Premiering every Tuesday at 8 pm, this show tackles the unique challenges and questions faced by the bi+ community. Hosted by Dave Samuel, Tamzyn Bielecka, and Jason Turner, it promises to be an insightful exploration of bi+ experiences.
Living Life Single: Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm, hosts Yiannis Koullas and Johnno Smallman create a space that empowers and celebrates single individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
Melanated In Melbourne: This syndicated podcast joins the JOY lineup on Wednesdays at 10 pm. Hosted by Ri’chard and Nicole, two black, queer American friends, the show offers a humorous and thoughtful perspective on life in Melbourne.

The new season also welcomes back some beloved programs:

Neon Nights: John and Costa return to take listeners on a global journey through electronic dance and pop music every Saturday at 7pm.
Sunday Arts Magazine: After a brief hiatus, David, Neil, and Eve are back to showcase Melbourne’s vibrant arts scene every Sunday at 3pm.
Word for Word: This award-winning program, now hosted by Jason Heath, returns to bring inspiring stories from the queer community to listeners every Sunday at 6pm
